New but devoted skater

Hello all,
I'm new to the skating scene but I have picked up fast. I started on Monday and I can do single and double snow plough stop, skating on each leg seperately and with my right foot I can hold my left leg out straight and go in circles on the right foot (not sure what that is called) and I can just about perfect a bunny hop and those fish thigs. the fish things I can do really really fast :-)

I'm 18 and I take figure skating privately with my coach one on one. I have my own skates (Ripsports RF4's) and I'm so proud of them.

I practice every week day Monday-Friday for 3 and a half hours. This may sound extreme for a begginer but I have plans to work my way really far as far to the top as I can go. 18 I have been told is not too old if I put my heart into it, and I'm a very quick learner. I do ballet which helps with strength and I have wonderful balance so I'm hoping I'll get there.

Any advice or anyone else who knows I you can get far at my age?

Anyway you all seem really cool so just introuducing myself, feel free to add me or whatever! :-)

PS - I'm from the UK (London) and my name is Rebecca :-)

good for you! I started when I was about thirteen, and now, four years later, I'm coaching, so it can be done for us who start once we're past toddlerhood! keep it up!

Hi. I'm Jessica, and I've been skating recreationally my whole life and took a few group lessons as a kid. Now I'm 23 and starting group lessons tomorrow and I can't wait!
